Bill Would Kill Working Lands Initiative Conversion Fees

"A bill (LRB-1135/2) being circulated for co-sponsors by state Sen. Dale Schultz, R-Richland Center, and state Rep. Andre Jacque, R-Bellevue, seeks to eliminate both the Purchase of Agricultural Conservation Easement program and the conversion fee for having land rezoned out of a farmland preservation zoning district." -- http://wisconsinfarmland.org/Alert.php

If you are concerned about the rezoning conversion fee topic, you should contact your elected representatives as well as the bill's sponsors to let them know how you feel.

This Fall is the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Clyde School at 6281 State Road 130. To celebrate, we are putting a twist on our usual ClydeFest festivities to be more of a Clyde School all-class reunion. The event will take place on Saturday, September 25th (same weekend as River Valley's Homecoming) from 1 - 4 in the afternoon. It will be a cake reception with coffee/punch. These will all be provided by the Community Center. Everyone in the area is invited to help celebrate at this free event!
